As part of a lean team of non-founder employees, you will play a vital role in the growth of the platform, help shape our operating processes and culture, and grow with us as we build a best-in-class short term rental platform. We are very excited to see what the future holds!
POSITION SUMMARY:
CozySuites is looking for an entrepreneurial and driven self-starter for a VP of Operations role. As VP of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company and leading multiple teams across the company to achieve optimized outcomes for our guests as well as our real estate partners. Travel will be required from time to time to visit CozySuites properties, as well as to build and maintain relationships with key local operations teams. The ideal candidate is excited by the prospect of being intimately involved in nearly all aspects of a rapidly growing company, of constantly working to improve operational processes and infrastructure, and of taking ownership of the company’s financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work directly with founders to achieve operational excellence for the company
- Oversee guest experience, local field operations, and content marketing teams to optimize guest stay outcomes and improve OTA ratings and NPS scores
- Serve as key point person for complex issue resolution and high-level escalations
- Dive into daily operations of teams to provide real-time feedback, answer key questions to de-bottleneck tasks and processes, and drive key urgent tasks to completion
- Design, implement, and continuously refine operational processes to maximize efficiency and profitability across multiple teams
- Integrate new units into operations and ensure smooth initial operations at new properties
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate partners, local service providers/operations teams and other 3rd parties to ensure seamless operations; this also involves serving as the key relationship manager for housekeeping partners and select key maintenance vendors (e.g. through via regular check-in calls/meetings and other recurring communication)
- Assist and work with other departments, such as HR/recruiting, payroll/vendor payments, revenue management, and accounting; particular emphasis on HR/recruiting, especially as it relates to performance evaluation and management, as well as employee retention
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in professional services or operations, preferably in hospitality or real estate; previous or current experience in a similar role in the short term rental industry is a huge plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and managing teams of varying backgrounds
- Proven track record of influencing team members effectively and exhibits maturity and emotional intelligence
- Entrepreneurial and driven, with a deep desire to take initiative and to learn; previous startup experience is helpful
- Rigorous, analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities
- Ability to strategize out-of-the-box and on-the-fly to come up with creative solutions to wide-ranging problems
- Team player with excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
