Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Vacation Rental Inspector to join our team. This role is central to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and guest-readiness of our properties.

The inspector will conduct thorough inspections before and after guest stays, verify all amenities and safety features, report and document damages, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams. You will also handle mini-cleans, monitor vacant properties, and assist with special projects as needed.

This position requires strong communication skills, independent problem-solving, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of vacation rental properties before and after guest stays.
  • Verify cleanliness, staging, and supplies to confirm each property is guest-ready.
  • Check and test appliances, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Confirm safety compliance (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, secure locks, house maps, outlet lights).
  • Identify, document, and report damages, missing items, or maintenance needs.
  • Take photos and submit daily inspection reports through the company’s mobile app (training provided).
  • Perform inventory checks and mini-cleans when required.
  • Inspect vacant units weekly if unoccupied to ensure condition and safety.
  • Assist with guest check-ins/check-outs when needed.
  • Communicate daily with the team to plan inspections and prioritize units.
  • Support housekeeping and maintenance coordination for smooth operations.
  • Assist with side projects assigned by leadership.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable personal transportation (required).
  • Familiarity with mobile apps/work order systems (training provided).
  • Basic knowledge of home maintenance and repair is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $17/hour for first 90 days, Raise based on Experience and Performance after 90 days
  • Mileage reimbursement for all work-related travel
  • Training on company systems and apps
