POSITION SUMMARY:

Help Drive Our Vision as Our Remote, Full-Time Vacation Rental Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a motivated, sales-driven professional to join our team. This role is focused on acquiring new business and closing deals. You will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and securing long-term partnerships that help expand our vacation rental management portfolio. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of our business and ensure we remain leaders in the industry.

Kickstart your day by reaching out to property owners who can benefit from VRBK’s exceptional services. You’ll forge authentic connections with potential clients by demonstrating why we are the ideal partner. You’ll arrange meetings to explore how VRBK can elevate their property's value and enhance guest satisfaction, leveraging data to showcase growth opportunities. We’ll depend on you to confidently handle negotiations and finalize contracts to ensure successful partnerships. It will also be essential to keep our management updated by documenting every step in our CRM sharing progress, challenges, and innovative ideas to refine our business development strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential property owners, initiating outreach through email, text, and phone calls. Conduct in-field visits, 55% of the time or more to neighborhoods or properties to identify leads and leave informational materials.
  • Client Relationship Building: Client Relationship Building: Develop rapport with leads by engaging in face-to-face interactions, sharing VRBK’s value in person, and guiding them through the rental management opportunity.
  • Meeting & Presentation: Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with property owners to discuss management solutions, present rental projections, and explain potential returns on-site or at mutually agreed external locations.
  • Contract & Negotiation: Finalize agreements during in-person meetings with property owners, ensuring clear, accurate, and mutually beneficial contracts.
  • CRM Management: Regularly update the CRM with lead details, meeting outcomes, and follow-up actions to maintain clear tracking and client progress.
  • City Council Meetings: Attend city council meetings to promote VRBK’s services to local property owners and stakeholders, presenting opportunities for partnership and rental management services.
  • Networking and Community Engagement: Build relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and property owners by attending events, meetings, and networking opportunities to raise awareness of VRBK’s services. Participate in broker caravans to engage with real estate brokers and expand connections within the industry.
  • Reporting: Provide consistent updates to management on progress, meeting targets and challenges, actively seeking feedback for improvement.
  • Company Marketing Presence: Maintain visibility by using company advertising on your vehicle during travel to and from client engagements and property visits.
  • Travel and Field Engagement: Dedicate the majority of working hours to field-based activities, ensuring at least 55% of working time is spent outside engaging in sales-related efforts, including client meetings, property visits, and generating leads through on-location efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in business development, sales, or property management, with a preference for experience in vacation rentals or real estate.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to engage clients and negotiate effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple leads, tracking interactions, and maintaining structured follow-ups.
  • CRM Expertise: Proficient in CRM tools for tracking client journeys, with additional familiarity in property management software a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Independence & Initiative: Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely, with a strong drive to meet goals without direct oversight.
  • Sales/Real Estate Certifications: A real estate license or similar certification is preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base Yearly Salary: $68,640 Plus opportunity to earn uncapped commission
