POSITION SUMMARY:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for new products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of embedded systems development principles. Candidate will work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure that our embedded systems meet the required specifications and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop code for current/upcoming products
- Participate in code design reviews
- Outline requirements and specifications for new products and services
- Assist the marketing team to help shape the product
- Assist with project planning, estimation and tracking
- Assist service and manufacturing departments in troubleshooting software related problems
- Report development status to supervisor on a regular basis
- Ability to develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and recommend actions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial software design, development, and implementation
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, or C++
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong proficiency in Visual Studio for Windows, with focus in C/C++/C# and VB.net
- Knowledge of Kotlin/Java/Swift for mobile app development from coding to publishing
- Knowledge of Android and iOS mobile platforms
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
Bonus Details: Bonus is discretionary, based on the performance of the company and the individual
