Position Summary
Future Home Integration is seeking a skilled Smart Home Systems Technician to install, configure, and support high-end residential smart home systems throughout Central Florida.
In this role, you'll work on custom homes alongside project managers, builders, designers, and fellow technicians to bring sophisticated technology to life. From lighting control and distributed audio to networking, surveillance, automation, and security systems, you'll help deliver seamless installations that exceed client expectations.

What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and commission residential smart home systems, including lighting control, audio/video, automation, networking, climate control, surveillance, and security systems.
- Integrate, program, and troubleshoot platforms such as Crestron, Lutron, Control4, or similar home automation systems.
- Install and service alarm systems and smart security integrations.
- Read project documentation and complete installations according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform testing to ensure all systems operate properly before project completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, builders, and fellow technicians to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site while representing Future Home Integration with professionalism.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating clearly with homeowners and addressing questions throughout the installation process.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, products, and installation best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing or servicing residential low-voltage, electrical, smart home, audio/video, security, or home automation systems.
- Experience working with residential construction projects or occupied homes.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, low-voltage, networking, or automation systems.
- Comfortable reading installation documentation, wiring diagrams, and project plans.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with project teams.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, work on ladders, and perform the physical duties required on active job sites.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Control4, Savant, or other residential automation platforms.
- Experience installing structured wiring, networking equipment, audio/video systems, surveillance cameras, or access control systems.
- Industry certifications or manufacturer training related to low-voltage, networking, or smart home integration.
- Experience with alarm systems and smart security products.
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP configuration and Wi-Fi systems.

- $20.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
