POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Total Rewards Administrator - Compensation & Payroll is responsible for the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of the credit union’s compensation and payroll programs. This role ensures associates are paid accurately and on time, compensation practices are competitive and equitable, and leaders have the tools and data needed to make informed pay decisions. The Senior Administrator partners with Finance, and business leaders to deliver a seamless, client-focused associate experience in alignment with the credit union’s total rewards strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Any individual who meets the definition of a mortgage loan originator (MLO) and is employed by a federal agency-regulated institution will need to be registered on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Ensures compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Compensation Administration
- Administers annual merit, bonus and incentive processes ensuring, alignment with organizational policies and market competitiveness.
- Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and salary benchmarking to maintain equitable and competitive pay structures.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to support leaders with compensation guidance during hiring, promotions, and performance cycles.
- Maintain compensation data in HRIS and prepare reports and dashboards to support pay decisions and workforce planning.
Payroll Administration
- Reviews HRIS tasks and notifications submitted by management for accuracy and completeness prior to final approval, including updates to wage, title, reporting structure, department/location, status, and terminations. These changes are then saved to the OnBase system workflow and employment files.
- Completes the MAC (Management Action Communication) for submitted changes which is routed to several departments for system updates and action generation.
- Maintains and updates the Position Control report to reflect changes in titles, grades, transfers, name changes, and terminations; collaborates with Finance to add or remove FTEs as needed.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure proper payroll accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Manage payroll audits and other regulatory requirements.
- Respond to associate payroll inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and a client-service mindset.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for HRIS system updates, including changes to security access levels and coordination of system enhancements
- Reviews monthly ADP billing for accuracy and submits for payment.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and other applicable compensation and payroll requirements.
- Partner with Finance and external vendors to prepare and file required payroll tax and compensation-related reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll and compensation data.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Monitor compensation and payroll trends and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness, efficiency, and associate satisfaction.
- Participate in annual compensation planning cycles, salary structure reviews, and incentive plan administration.
- Provides budget support during monthly cost center reviews and annual planning by supplying relevant financial data and insights as needed.
- Partner with Benefits & Wellness counterpart to ensure integration of payroll deductions, reporting, and total rewards communication.
- Support HR systems projects to optimize payroll and compensation processes.
System Administration
- Serves as administrator for HR technology platforms, including compensation market pricing systems, the incentive plan document system, and HRIS.
- Partners with IT to implement system updates, optimize functionality, and enhance user experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field is preferred
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in compensation and/or payroll administration is required
- Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compensation best practices
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and client-service orientation
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $83,000 - $100,000
