RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present detailed financial statements and reports.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits.
- Update and maintain the general ledger & Excel expense sheets ensuring all transactions are correctly posted and organized.
- Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, issuing payments, and monitoring outstanding balances. Also, handle accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments.
- Accurately record and classify financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they are appropriately authorized and coded to the appropriate accounts.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving financial processes and controls.
- Enhance efficiency and accuracy through best practices.
- Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Generate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to provide management with accurate financial information for decision-making.
- Prepare and file tax returns as needed.
SKILLS
- Professional level knowledge in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends or issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping, a related financial role, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant education and mathematical skills will also be considered.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Wage: $30 - $40 per hour based on experience and achievement
