POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you have a talent for working with numbers and a passion for dealing with details?

We’re looking for a Remote Short-Term Rental Bookkeeper to help us maintain financial accuracy and compliance across our management company and owner accounts. This role is part-time, approximately 3–5 hours per week, with additional hours required during the initial setup phase.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up a chart of accounts for income and expense tracking (management company & owners)
  • Perform Stripe reconciliation of batch deposits
  • Record and classify all financial activities (general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, bank/credit card charges)
  • Generate monthly financial reports (FS, P&L, BS)
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
  • Generate and distribute accurate statements for property owners
  • Manage Canadian quarterly tax filings (GST, PST, MRDT), ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Advanced accounting knowledge with high competency in QuickBooks Online
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with short-term rentals in Canada

Preferred:

  • Experience setting up and managing STR accounts from inception
  • Strong ability to develop systems for accuracy and accountability

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience and achievement.
