POSITION SUMMARY:

Resort Group is looking for a dependable, hands-on Pool Technician to help keep our pools sparkling and our guests smiling in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. If you’re someone who takes pride in crystal-clear water, loves working outdoors, and enjoys solving problems on the fly, this is the role for you. You’ll be in charge of keeping our pools, spas, and filtration systems in top shape—testing chemical levels, adjusting pH and chlorine, cleaning up pool areas, and tackling repairs when equipment needs some attention.

You’ll also check and repair corrosion, cracks, and leaks in the pool walls or floors, and ensure that equipment like pool covers, hot tub covers, and slides are in good working order. As part of your daily routine, you'll organize pool furniture according to the established layout for both common areas and private patios, while also removing any grass or weeds around hot tubs. You’ll keep accurate logs and report any faults or water quality concerns to management promptly. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses, repairs and maintains swimming pools, water spas, filter systems, and pumps.
  • Maintains the proper chemical, chlorine, and pH balance for every pool for good water quality
  • Maintains the pool areas including cleaning of the deck, and organizing patio furniture.
  • Responds to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Transports and stores hazardous chemicals. Following OSHA guidelines and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Maintains manual records of all activities and prepares daily / weekly / monthly reports.
  • Picks up trash around common pool area and unit patios.
  • Cleans and services swimming pool filtration units.
  • Fixes lights above and below water level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 Years work experience on similar role or ability to perform scope of work on hospitality environment.
  • Must be efficient, organized, personable, poised and well groomed.
  • Must have experience in pool, and spa chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance, pool plumbing and all other related items.
  • Must be available to start work at 7am each morning.
  • CPO Certification a plus but not mandatory.
