POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a hands-on Operations & Maintenance Associate to support the daily upkeep and performance of our Pittsburgh properties. This hybrid role blends light maintenance, unit inspections, guest support, and vendor coordination. You’ll visit multiple properties each day to ensure units are functional, clean, and guest-ready.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unit & Common Area Upkeep
- Perform light in-unit maintenance: unclog sinks/toilets, change lightbulbs and batteries, fix light fixtures, patch drywall, adjust furniture, and complete minor appliance repairs
- Replace AC filters and smoke detector batteries on a scheduled basis
- Reset smart devices (e.g., Wi-Fi locks, routers, smart TVs)
- Conduct unit inspections post-cleaning to ensure readiness and quality standards
- Realign furniture and verify that all amenities and appliances are clean and functional
- Maintain and clean common areas, including lobbies, hallways, trash rooms, and lobby walls, ensuring a professional appearance
- Provide basic pest control treatments (e.g., sprays/traps) and coordinate with pest control vendors as needed
- Organize and restock supply closets with linens, amenities, and maintenance materials
- Perform routine preventative maintenance walkthroughs to identify and resolve issues early
Guest Support & Vendor Coordination
- Respond to guest issues on-site, including real-time delivery of supplies and basic in-unit troubleshooting
- Conduct pre-check-in inspections for VIP guests
- Coordinate with the offsite guest experience team to support smooth guest stays
- Monitor vendor performance and collaborate with cleaning and maintenance vendors to resolve any quality issues
- Occasionally fill in with cleaning or reset tasks if vendors are unavailable
- Report damages, safety concerns, or escalated maintenance needs clearly and promptly
- Travel daily between properties throughout the city
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Reliable personal vehicle with active insurance (Required)
- Valid driver’s license (Required)
- Smartphone with ability to use company apps (Required)
- Comfortable driving to multiple properties daily (Required)
- Must pass a criminal background check (Required)
- General handyman or light maintenance skills
- Familiarity with smart home devices (preferred)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Friendly, professional demeanor and a willingness to support guest-related tasks
- Availability on weekends and some holidays
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $25–30/hour
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
