POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field Technician is the core field position that renders the field services of VRA including: Property Inspections before and after guest stays, Handyman repairs, Troubleshooting and Reporting, Hot Tub maintenance, On-Call Customer Service, and trash hauling. A company vehicle is provided. The position requires attention to detail, route management, commitment to procedure, clear communication, and professionalism in guest, co-worker, contractor and owner interactions. This position visits anywhere from 5-10 properties in a day rendering the mentioned services. Every day is a new day as a field tech.
As a North Lake Tahoe Field Technician, there is ample opportunity for career growth within our organization. Successful technicians may have the chance to take on additional responsibilities, such as training new team members or overseeing larger projects. With dedication and hard work, this role can serve as a stepping stone to advanced positions in property management or operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete inspections: stage / secure properties, assess damage, inventory, and provide maintenance
- Detailed reporting / trouble shooting for maintenance and handy man issues
- Haul trash, sweep garage and traffic areas
- Maintain proper chemical regiment for hot tubs and take measures to keep guests safe
- Exterior property clean up / yard upkeep
- Ensure cleaning quality meets standards and generate accurate quality reports
- Follow guidelines to complete professionally written reports for each service
- Communicate with supervisors and team in a professional and effective manner
- Communicate and problem solve with property owners and guests
- Use scheduling software to create a route of field stops and satisfy specific tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous labor or handy experience is a plus, especially vacation rental related
- Valid drivers license
- Basic proficiency with computer and phone applications
- Professionally and clearly communicate through reports and face-to-face
- Exceptional time management and organization of multiple tasks
- Ability to perform manual labor for long periods and move to / from and throughout homes
- To push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet
- Care for and keep track of Vacation Rental Assistance property including vehicles, tools and supplies.
