POSITION SUMMARY:

We are excited to offer a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus!

$250 will be paid after 30 days, $250 after 60 days, and $500 after 90 days. 

We are looking for a reliable and consistent Maintenance Technician to ensure our glamping sites and domes are always in mint condition and ready to welcome guests to their next adventure.

In this role, you’ll perform all repairs and general maintenance and develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Your day-to-day as our Maintenance Technician will be traveling between our 8 unique domes in the Great Smoky Mountains. You’ll perform inspections and assess any issues with our equipment, systems, or damage to the structures. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the pools, spas, and surrounding grounds. It will also require that you make house calls if any maintenance issues arise during our guests' stay, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to perform repairs promptly.

This position is a Contract 1099 position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repairs & General Maintenance

  • Inspect cabins, equipment, furniture, and systems to identify any issues and repair faulty equipment, furniture, and damaged structures.
  • Plan and schedule the week for repairs and service.
  • Inspect, clean, treat and manage all indoor pool / Spa chemicals and equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time before guest arrival.
  • Perform routine maintenance.
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing.
  • Maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Painting when old paint has become faded or chipped. Maintaining the decks.

Preventative Maintenance and Safety:

  • Develop and conduct preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Manage heating and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Maintain the inventory records of equipment.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure all pools, spas and homes are up to code and meet internal safety standards.
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of maintenance technician experience.
  • Handyman skills and general knowledge of home maintenance are a plus.
  • A certificate in building maintenance technology or related fields is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Reliable, consistent, and hard-working.
  • Proficient in using phone apps and computers.
  • Available to work on call, after hours, and on holidays as needed.

Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours are required for this position, and availability after hours for maintenance or repair issues as needed. As part of your duties, you will also have to be available on holidays for house calls to deal with any urgent issues that arise. This is a 1099 Contract position.
