POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Technician at Scenic Stays, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vacation rental properties are well-maintained and provide an exceptional experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs, while maintaining a professional and hospitable demeanor when interacting with guests and property owners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of basic maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure properties remain in excellent condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Handle face-to-face interactions with guests and owners with kindness and empathy.
- Provide clear communication and ensure satisfaction during and after service calls.
- Use technology platforms to track work orders, update progress, and maintain accurate records.
- Submit detailed reports on completed tasks and any additional issues that need attention.
- Stay up-to-date on training for new systems or tools introduced by the company.
- Work closely with the operations team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Assist with special projects or property updates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members about maintenance issues or recurring challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Proficient in using technology, including mobile apps and reporting systems, to manage tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a hospitality-driven mindset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $40,000 - $65,000 based on experience
