POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our historic
property. Your expertise in general maintenance, combined with your problem-solving skills and attention to detail, will be instrumental in providing our guests with a comfortable and memorable stay.
You will tackle a variety of tasks, from performing routine inspections and repairs to addressing unexpected maintenance issues promptly and efficiently. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members will be key to your success in this position. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all hotel systems and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general property upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, resolving issues to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining the property's HVAC systems; experience in this area is a plus.
- Collaborate with team members to address larger repair projects or renovations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Uphold the historical integrity of the property while integrating modern maintenance solutions.
- Maintain organized records of maintenance requests, completed tasks, and scheduled inspections.
- Ensure the property adheres to local safety and compliance regulations, conducting regular safety checks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel, commercial, or fast-paced residential setting.
- Basic proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems; certification or experience is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with team members and management.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $14 - $18
Bonus: Based on individual and company performance.

Varies: Our hotel is open 7 days/week. Generally 8-5 M-F or T-S.
