Position Summary
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and laundry items used in vacation rental units are cleaned, processed, and delivered to meet resort quality standards. This role is critical to maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction by supporting timely unit turns and upholding cleanliness and presentation expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other resort laundry items
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear; rewash or remove from circulation as needed
- Maintain proper separation of linens by unit type, size, and usage
- Ensure timely turnaround of laundry to support housekeeping schedules and guest check-ins
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of linens, towels, and laundry supplies
- Assist with stocking linen closets and distributing clean items to housekeeping teams
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures
- Keep laundry room and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition
- Report equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety concerns promptly
- Support housekeeping or operations team as needed during peak periods
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to operate or learn commercial laundry equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist across departments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of linen bags (up to 40 lbs)
- Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull carts
- Comfortable working in a warm, humid environment
Preferred (nice to have but not required)
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Compensation, Benefits & More
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour
