POSITION SUMMARY:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the hotel’s linens and laundry facilities at the Best Western Apalach Inn. This role is essential in supporting the housekeeping team by ensuring all guest room and property linens are cleaned, sanitized, and returned in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be dependable, efficient, and have a strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate washers and dryers to clean linens, towels, and other hotel laundry
- Sort soiled linens by type, color, and fabric before washing
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper performance and quality standards
- Fold, organize, and store clean linens in designated areas
- Report any equipment malfunctions or laundry supply shortages to management
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area at all times
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and security procedures
- Assist housekeeping staff by delivering clean linens as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, but not required—training will be provided
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Range: $14 - $15 based on experience
