COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Beach Retreats offers a collection of unique, independent properties in Ocracoke Island, Nags Head, and Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. The properties range from inns and B&Bs to villas, beach bungalows and motels. Each property is highly individual and enables guests to experience each destination on their own terms. Each Beach Retreats location has a designated innkeeper or site manager, who will be your on-site contact ensuring your vacation is relaxing and memorable. While our office hours vary by location and time of year, all properties also provide an emergency contact number for any after-hours needs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a responsible and customer-oriented Innkeeper to join our team First Colony in Nags Head. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making reservations, assisting guests, and providing excellent customer service. Ensuring that any problems are identified and resolved, the Innkeeper develops alternative solutions and approaches group challenges with reason and skill.
The ideal candidate is confident and able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions. The Innkeeper will also makes sound decisions promptly, involves the other team members as needed, and can handle pressure tactfully and responsibly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service: Handle challenging customer situations with professionalism; solicits feedback to improve service; and consistently meets customer commitments.

- Computer Skills: Proficient in property management software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with guests and hospitality
- Able to be on your feet for 6-8 hours per day
- Able to lift 5-10 pounds as needed
- Able to use Microsoft Office and Outlook
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $18 - $22

Schedule
- This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with availability to work weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
