POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Vacation Rental Cleaner, your attention to detail helps turn ordinary homes into the perfect backdrop for unforgettable trips. Whether you're an employee or an independent contractor, you’ll play a key role in helping guests feel welcome and cared for the moment they walk through the door.
You'll typically work between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, allowing time for family, school, or other priorities. You’ll often clean solo — with your favorite music, podcast, or audiobook — while staying connected to our larger team of cleaning professionals.
This position is great for working parents, students, side hustlers, or anyone who wants consistent, meaningful work without nights or weekends (except Sundays — that’s our busiest day!).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Responsibilities:
- Cover up to 4-8 cleaning jobs per week, with the potential for additional work if things are going well.
- Perform one or more daily cleans, understanding that our units can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours to clean.
- Occasionally accommodate late check-outs and early check-ins.
- Communicate with the property managers to ensure the unit is in tip-top shape. Notify the manager of any damages to items in the unit or if anything needs to be fixed. You may be asked to take pictures or videos and possibly help with small tasks on-site.
- Thoroughly complete our cleaning checklist at every single clean.
W-2 Track:
- Willing to learn our systems and cleaning standards
- Reliable transportation
- Commitment to show up and do great work consistently
- Must be more flexible to last minute location changes, and available to help if other cleaners need assistance that day.
- You may finish work some days earlier than others. You may be required to go help another cleaner or conduct an inspection before you head home.
1099 Track:
- Already operate (or are ready to operate) as a licensed business after the 90-day trial. (We can help with this!)
- Liability insurance (which is very affordable for cleaners) which isn’t required until after the contractor is through the inspection period.
- Independent, entrepreneurial mindset
- Must be highly reliable
- Please note: Those who qualify for this track, are those who are serious about growing their business outside of their contract with us.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Communicative and easy to work with
- Available on Sundays
- Comfortable working independently
- STR (short-term rental) experience is a plus — but not required
- Flexible throughout the workday to assist other cleaners
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
For W-2 Employees:
- Starting pay: $17/hour
- Earn up to $22/hour after a 90-day trial period, based on performance

- Flat-rate pay per clean (typically $20–$35/hour average)

- After 90 days, we reimburse the cost of your first-time business license if you don't already have one.

You’ll be operating as your own business, and we want to help you grow it. We may request documentation that shows you are actively establishing your business—such as proof of registration, business license, or evidence of building your client base.
