POSITION SUMMARY:

The Guest Services Associate plays a key role in supporting daily operations and managing guest interactions from start to finish. As the face of the company, this role has a direct impact on the guest experience and overall reputation of Dauphin Island Beach Rentals. Responsibilities include handling reservations, providing assistance during check-ins and check-outs, and delivering knowledgeable guidance on our properties and services.

As the Guest Services Associate grows in the role, they are expected to demonstrate high performance through mastery of folio management, charges, travel insurance, and property expertise. This position reports to the Office Manager or General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet walk-in guests and ensure a warm, welcoming arrival experience.
  • Administer check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist guests with property selection and take reservations based on needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Provide accurate information and recommendations regarding local restaurants, activities, and area attractions.
  • Promote travel insurance and suggest add-on services such as kayaks or boat rentals when appropriate.
  • Process guest payments and refunds, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Support guests with reservation changes or cancellations as needed.
  • Address, resolve, and document guest concerns in Track, coordinating with other departments as necessary.
  • Diffuse tense or conflict situations with professionalism and calm problem-solving.
  • Document guest requests, conversations, and noteworthy interactions in Track.
  • Deliver mail, messages, and requested items to guests, including after-hours support when needed.
  • Assist with facilitating access for repairs, deliveries, or other required in-stay services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or service-oriented role.
  • Driver's License
  • Ability to commute to Dauphin Island and be on the island within one hour's notice

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $25.00 based on previous experience

Schedule:

Monday - Sunday and varies, Flexibility to work weekends is key
