Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

More Than a Boutique Short-Term Rental Agency - We’re Curators of Exceptional Experiences

At Vanage Vacation Homes, our roots run deep in the art of genuine hospitality. What began as a family’s love for North Captiva Island has grown into a thoughtfully curated portfolio of luxury vacation homes across Southwest and South Florida.

Our ethos centers on creating a “Home Away from Home” experience for our guests, where every detail is intentional and every interaction is filled with care. We extend that same philosophy to our team. With us, you’re not just joining a company; you’re becoming part of a passionate, collaborative and hospitality-driven family.

Apply today to join the Vanage family where 5-star stays meet operational excellence in a peaceful island setting.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and service-driven Guest Attendant to join our welcoming team on our uniquely beautiful island. In this hands-on role, you’ll enjoy a rewarding daily rhythm that centers on helping others, managing multiple priorities without getting flustered and creating memorable experiences for our guests at every touch point.

What To Expect

A typical day might begin by warmly greeting guests at the ferry dock, assisting with their luggage, and guiding them to their vacation home. Once there, you’ll help them settle in by highlighting key features of the home and offering a personalized island tour to ensure they feel comfortable and at home from the very start. Throughout their stay, you’ll support guest logistics to create a seamless and enjoyable experience. When it’s time to depart, you’ll once again assist with luggage and bid them farewell at the ferry dock—with a warm smile and lasting impression.

Beyond guest relations, you’ll play a key role in keeping our golf carts (the island’s main mode of transportation) in excellent condition — inspecting them for safety, cleaning and charging them between uses, and transporting them to where they need to be.

And finally, you’ll help keep our operations running smoothly by picking up and delivering supplies or other essential items as needed. On days when there are few arrivals, other projects will be assigned as necessary. Please note that many guests offer generous cash tips!

North Captiva is a boat-access-only barrier island off Florida’s Gulf Coast. Known for its quiet beaches, wildlife, and no-car lifestyle, it’s a special place. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests at the ferry dock, assist with luggage, escort them to their homes, and provide warm welcome and farewell experiences

  • Wash and detail carts, documenting any damage or maintenance issues
  • Purchase and transport supplies, groceries, parts, and other items needed to support guest and team operations
  • Deliver items to homes as needed, helping fulfill guest needs and assist internal logistics across the island

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, service-related role (hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Capable of lifting over 50 pounds to assist with items such as luggage, groceries, and other guest belongings.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and clear communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for time tracking and task updates
  • Positive attitude and flexible mindset — essential for island living!
  • Boating experience is a strong plus, but not required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
