POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vacation rental portfolio, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency across all departments. This role is critical in maintaining high standards for property readiness, guest satisfaction, and owner confidence. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong background in operations, team management, and process improvement. As a rapidly growing company, the new director will be expected to help structure new processes and procedures to facilitate growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership & Strategy: Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment with company goals.
- Operational Efficiency: Develop, implement, and refine processes to improve turnover efficiency, property quality, and overall guest experience.
- Quality Control: Enforce high cleanliness and maintenance standards, conducting audits and ensuring accountability.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and manage staff while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and ownership.
- Guest & Owner Relations: Address escalated guest issues, maintain strong owner relationships, and implement service improvements based on feedback.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage operational budgets, control costs, and optimize resources to maximize profitability.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Leverage property management software and automation tools to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all properties meet local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in process development, quality control, and cost management.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Guesty, OwnerRez, Hostfully) and operational tools.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and weekends, as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Rate: $90,000 - $105,000
Bonus: Bonus based on company performance
