GENERAL MANAGER — VACATION RENTAL OPERATIONS

An established and rapidly growing vacation rental management company is seeking a high-performing General Manager to lead day-to-day operations. With a strong foundation of 150+ upscale units across multiple complexes, our team is passionate about delivering top-tier guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards for property care and owner satisfaction.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Manager will oversee operations across housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services—ensuring every property runs efficiently, meets brand standards, and delivers consistently exceptional guest experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to lead teams, manage quality control, and build scalable systems as the company grows.

You’ll also play a key role in guest and owner communications—resolving high-level concerns and leading service enhancements based on feedback.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead housekeeping, maintenance, and guest experience departments with clarity and consistency, aligning team performance with company goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Develop and refine procedures to improve property readiness, turnover efficiency, and guest satisfaction metrics.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce high standards through regular audits and team accountability, ensuring every unit meets cleanliness and maintenance expectations.
  • Team Development: Hire, train, and manage operational staff, fostering a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Guest & Owner Experience: Handle escalated guest concerns, support strong owner relationships, and help implement systems to improve service delivery.
  • Budget Management: Monitor labor and material costs, manage budgets, and optimize resource allocation to improve profitability.
  • Technology Integration: Use property management software and automation tools to streamline reporting and increase operational efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all properties meet applicable regulations and company safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, ideally in short-term rentals, hotels, or hospitality leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in process improvement, quality control, and cost containment.
  • Proficient in vacation rental software platforms (e.g., Hostfully, Guesty, OwnerRez, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Rate: $100,000 - $110,000 plus bonus based on company performance
