POSITION SUMMARY:

As a full-time inspector, your days will be spent at our beautiful vacation rental properties inspecting the homes to ensure they meet or exceed our cleaning and property appearance standards, and thoroughly checking for any maintenance or housekeeping concerns. You will inspect homes after our professional housekeepers complete their work to ensure everything is perfect before the next family arrives, and you'll also inspect vacant properties with upcoming guest or homeowner arrivals.

There will be days will you meet with homeowners and guests at properties to help with anything they need during their stay, and many days you will meet with housekeepers at properties to help guide them in their work. Building and maintaining relationships with homeowners and housekeepers, as well as making personal connections with our short-term guests, is a huge part of the work you'll do, and hugely rewarding!

We focus on setting everyone up for success at every step of every day. This starts with ourselves, and extends to setting our housekeepers, our homeowners, our guests, and each member of the Housekeeping Department and of Emerald Isle Realty, up for success. The perfect candidates for this opportunity will have this at the forefront of their mind each day. They will also have truly extraordinary communication skills, and be accountable team members that are also able to work independently.

Quality assurance inspecting will also always involve some amount of cleaning. There will be times, especially in our off-season, when our full-time inspection team will perform cleanings at properties when needed. If you possess a passion for cleaning and guiding others on best cleaning practices, you'll truly enjoy your work.

There are currently two positions available for our full-time quality assurance inspector position. One will have the schedule of Thursday - Monday each week, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. One will have the schedule of Wednesday - Sunday each week, with Monday and Tuesdays off.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively by phone and in person with owners, guests, co-workers, and housekeepers
  • Inspect rental properties to ensure that the level of cleanliness meets or exceeds Emerald Isle Realty standards
  • Enforce Standard Unit Appearance
  • Replace household items in rental units and submit necessary documentation for billing
  • Report any damages and maintenance or housekeeping concerns for rental properties
  • Ensure that rental properties are secured
  • Ensure that the Housekeeping front office area is neat and tidy at all times
  • Clean rental properties when needed, especially in the off-season
  • Assist with making beds in rental properties when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong guest service orientation and skills
  • Strong sense of hospitality for all people
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written communication
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Extremely conscious of details and surroundings
  • Must be dependable and available to work assigned/flexible schedule and overtime hours
  • Overtime is required from April-November, and can occur outside of this timeframe
  • Must have dependable transportation
  • Must be able to work weekends year around, and work from 8am - 6pm on weekends during the peak summer season
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $18.00
