COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Beach Retreats offers a collection of unique, independent properties in Ocracoke Island, Nags Head, and Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. The properties range from inns and B&Bs to villas, beach bungalows and motels. Each property is highly individual and enables guests to experience each destination on their own terms.  Each Beach Retreats location has a designated innkeeper or site manager, who will be your on-site contact ensuring your vacation is relaxing and memorable. While our office hours vary by location and time of year, all properties also provide an emergency contact number for any after-hours needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Reservations Associate to join our team at Beach Retreats in Nags Head, NC. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

As a Reservations Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they book their stay to the time they check out. The ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes is a must in this role, as well as the ability to use sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer calls, send/reply to emails, and makes reservations.
  • Maintains arrival, departure & guest lists
  • Checks guests in and out, assist guests as needed
  • Clean lobby and office areas
  • Coordinate housekeeping list with housekeepers, special guest request. Etc.
  • Receive and process payments, prepare daily audit reports
  • Maintain petty cash account
  • Monitor for 3rd party reservations and cancellations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work flexible work schedule and days including evenings and holidays
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365 a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another.
  • Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Cash handling skills (the ability to count currency, make and count back change.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $16 - $18
