POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Food & Beverage Expeditor at Evermore Resort, you will be the vital link between our kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring every guest enjoys a smooth and memorable dining experience. You’ll manage the efficient flow of orders from servers to the kitchen, organizing your station each shift with all necessary equipment, and coordinating with both service and culinary staff to make sure each table’s items are ready at the same time. This includes being well-versed in menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and specials—despite frequent changes—so you can communicate clearly with the team and accommodate special requests, dietary restrictions, or notable guests.
You’ll audit kitchen spaces for health department compliance, uphold food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure the kitchen is stocked with clean plateware and service ware. Working closely with both FOH and BOH, you’ll help maintain a positive, collaborative atmosphere, assist in training new staff when needed, and always keep your work area clean and organized. Your role is essential in keeping operations running seamlessly, supporting servers with their guests’ needs, and delivering the timing, accuracy, and service excellence our guests expect.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a welcoming and attentive atmosphere, engaging with guests, and addressing their needs. Anticipate when guests require additional service. Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns gracefully, seeking solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Communicate with other Team Members to accommodate guest preference.
- Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
- Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and ensure they are accurately prepared and plated, as well as correct temperature and inform kitchen if any adjustments are needed.
- Carry plates with a steady hand to avoid spills and accidents. Deliver dishes to appropriate tables ensuring they are placed in front of the correct guests.
- Present food with proper etiquette and explain any special features or details about the dishes when required.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations for all F&B outlets.
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority. Communicate orders and information between the front of house and back of house.
- Expeditors must be safety conscious and in compliance of all laws concerning the safety of others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of previous server assistant, food runner or expeditor experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is typically required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Food, alcohol, and safety certifications under FL requirements.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.

- Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines.
- Ability to work scheduled shift, weekends, holidays and rotating schedule.
- Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 25 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
