POSITION SUMMARY:
Sofrito Latin Cafe is looking for friendly and dependable Front of the House Team Members to join our high-energy restaurant near the Orlando theme parks. As the face of our cafe, you’ll play an essential role in creating an exceptional dining experience for guests from all over the world.
In this role, you’ll provide warm, responsive service, take food and beverage orders, deliver meals, answer questions, and ensure every guest feels welcome. You’ll also help maintain clean and organized dining areas while supporting your teammates to keep service running smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages as well as other restaurant functions and services.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders into our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar. Present check to guests, accept payment, process cash, credit card, PayPal, and Apple Pay charges.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
- Perform side work at the start, during a running shift and at the end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Remove used tableware; clear and reset tables after guests leave.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members.
- Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food, frequently weighing at least 20 to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to think quickly on his/her feet with multiple activities going on at once.
- Must focus on quality and have pride in work.
- Must be “Always” a Team player.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Wage: $10.98 per hour plus tips
Schedule: Full-time or part-time hours; While schedules vary. Sundays are required.
