POSITION SUMMARY:

As a passionate and driven Family Law Attorney at Smedley Law Group, you'll find the opportunity for unparalleled financial success along with the space to grow your brand. In this role, you will engage in a range of family law cases, from complex divorces to sensitive child custody and support matters, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives. Your success will depend on your ability to manage cases effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, requiring creative and strategic thinking.

Along with your legal expertise, our team values your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients. In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients while providing the best legal representation possible. This is an in-person position that offers flexibility when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and related matters.
  • Draft legal documents, conduct discovery, and present in court.
  • Develop strategies tailored to each case, advocating effectively for clients.
  • Engage in negotiation and mediation processes to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in business development activities to build your client base, as well as the firm’s.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an active New Jersey Bar membership in good standing
  • Proven experience in family law preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented with a strong client focus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $150,000 based on experience and achievement

Bonus: Bonuses based on exceeding financial metrics set by the firm
