POSITION SUMMARY:
Stay Heirloom is seeking a talented and versatile Facilities Assistant to join our team in Nashville. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with experience in basic carpentry and general facilities maintenance. You will work closely with our Maintenance Technician to ensure our properties are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our guests. From performing minor repairs to managing inventory and accepting deliveries, you will play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Additional responsibilities include reporting any needed repairs, low stock items, and facilities maintenance issues in a timely fashion; assisting with new property installations as needed (e.g., hanging and mounting art, décor, window treatments, mirrors, and light fixtures); stocking and maintaining the company tool kit; assuming emergency on-call duty when assigned; and supporting special projects as they arise. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform simple repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing minor leaks, unclogging sinks) and report more complex issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technician to support essential home repairs
- Move, set up, and break down furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and office reconfigurations.
- Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas, including leaf removal, pool skimming, trash removal.
- Restock restroom and office supplies, monitor inventory levels, and inform management when items need to be ordered.
- Accept deliveries, transport packages between properties and warehouses, and assist with outgoing shipments as needed.
- Monitor waste and recycling bins, dispose of waste materials appropriately, and keep waste areas clean and orderly.
- Assists in overseeing technicians when professional repairs are necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years prior experience with basic facilities maintenance: can perform non-specialized tasks and knows when a professional should be called
- Prior experience with basic carpentry: feels comfortable repairing a broken bed support beam, can build a basic floating shelf, can repair a screen door
- Must have a valid driver's license, an upstanding driving record, and access to their own dependable truck and/or van (not a sedan)
- Lives in close or commutable proximity to Nashville (within 30 minutes)
- Able to comfortably lift 50lbs and climb a ladder
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a big plus, but not a firm requirement
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $18 - $23
