Position Summary

Fortuna Bakery is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver to transport bakery products, ingredients, and supplies between our production facility, retail locations, and other designated destinations throughout the Orlando area.

This position is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining the highest food safety and product quality standards.

In addition to driving responsibilities, you'll assist with loading and unloading deliveries, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, completing delivery documentation, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. What You'll Do

• Safely operate company vehicles while following all traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately and on time.
• Load, unload, transport, and secure products to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify delivery orders, product quantities, and product condition before departing and upon arrival.
• Deliver bakery products, ingredients, supplies, equipment, and other materials to assigned locations.
• Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and required documentation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures during transport.
• Ensure refrigerated and frozen products remain within required temperature ranges.
• Communicate route changes, delays, or operational issues to management.
• Assist with loading, unloading, inventory organization, and warehouse operations as needed.
• Verify deliveries against transfer documents and shipping manifests.
• Complete delivery logs, mileage records, fuel logs, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
• Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or missing items promptly.
• Provide courteous and professional service to store teams, vendors, and business partners.
• Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required company uniform.
• Follow all OSHA, food safety, and company safety guidelines.
• Assist with emergency deliveries or other operational needs when necessary.
• Participate in company training and safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate cargo vans, box trucks, or similar company vehicles.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize deliveries.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math skills for verifying deliveries and inventory.
• Ability to complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Comfortable using GPS navigation and mobile communication devices.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours when business needs require.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to food safety and quality standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass any required background screening, motor vehicle record review, and other pre-employment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional driving, delivery, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Compensation

• $15.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time.
• Schedule based on business needs and delivery routes.
• Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours may be required.
