POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a Director of Finance and Client Services to oversee our financial management functions (trust accounting, retainer management, client billing), maintain strong cash flow (A/P, A/R, vendor relations), and ensure exceptional client experiences. In this key leadership role, you’ll drive the firm’s financial health while serving as a trusted resource for our valued clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Management & Accounting – Oversee trust accounting, retainer management/client billing, payment processing, and financial reporting to support strong cash flow and collections rates.
- Billing & Payment Oversight – Manage pre-bills, finalize invoices, process payments, and ensure compliance with firm protocols.
- Client Relations – Serve as the go-to resource for billing inquiries, addressing concerns with empathy, and ensure clear communication regarding accounts.
- New Client Onboarding – Conduct introductory calls and educate clients on firm policies to foster smooth account management.
- Performance Optimization – Monitor key financial metrics and implement strategies for efficiency and results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of financial management experience, including client billing, payment processing, and financial reporting (law firm experience is a plus!)
- Advanced profi ciency in QuickBooks, Timeslips, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong client service skills with the ability to resolve inquiries and de-escalate concerns effectively
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Familiarity with trust accounting and cash flow management
