POSITION SUMMARY:
Elevate your accounting career with us as our Director of Accounting for luxury properties in prime locations throughout Los Angeles. This isn’t just another accounting role. This opening is your opportunity to be a valued member of our esteemed team serving our prestigious clients and guests. Your mission in this hybrid position will be to expertly oversee the Booking and Coordination of our world-class and exclusive properties.
In this role, you’ll lead a remote accounting team, ensuring all financial tasks are completed accurately and on time. Client, owner and vendor management will be a significant part of your day. You will act as a primary point of contact, representing the company with professionalism and empathy. Your work will directly impact the company's financial health, allowing you to see the tangible results of your efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise the remote accounting team to ensure timely and accurate task completion, including process improvement, daily transaction management, and daily audit meetings.
- Improve Processes and create SOP’s
- Maintain and update financial systems, including QuickBooks, Escapia Reservation, PMS, and other associated platforms, while managing all company reconciliations.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, owners and vendors, embodying our company’s compassionate and empathetic culture.
- Process payroll, manage payments, company assets, company insurance, Employee Benefits, 401K, calculate commissions and handle tax submissions (Transient Occupancy and Nightly Taxes).
- Generate and maintain financial reports, including End-of-month OIP report: Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, Budgeting, Forecasting, Monthly Reconciliation, Cash Projection, as well as Trust Accounting (both weekly and monthly).
- Coordinate payments (wire, ACH) and manage office finances, including recurring expenses, supply orders, and employee asset assignments.
- Manage the onboarding of our exclusive properties, owner payables, ongoing utility expenses, service orders, and provide weekly, monthly, and end-of-month reports for owners.
- Oversee company communication via email, Asana tasks, and WhatsApp, ensuring instant responses to all employees, owners, and managers.
- Work closely with company stakeholders to ensure complete financial compliance and transparency in reports and overhead management. Additionally, take on more accounting tasks as they arise and serve as the primary in-charge manager for our headcount in the LA office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years minimum experience with Quickbooks Online
- 5 years of accounting management experience and ability to train a team, hold them accountable and delegate tasks
- Knowledge of high level of accounting, financial statements, and reconciliation
- Proficiency in Trust Accounting.
- Experience in working with Escapia or other PMS & trust accounting platforms (Property Management Software) - training will be provided as needed
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- College degree preferred but not required
- Adaptable and teachable regarding new platforms in an ever-evolving Industry
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 OTE (On Track Earnings) based on experience and achievement. (combination of base pay and bonuses)
Bonus: Monthly bonuses and incentives are offered with this position (after the first 90 days)

Schedule:
This hybrid full-time position is abundantly supported by a team of professionals and entails a 40-60 hour workweek with flexible opportunities to work from home (as needed). Ability to work on weekends for development meetings at the end of months and deep dive with company stakeholders.
