POSITION SUMMARY:

Our company is in its early stages and focused on rapid but methodical growth. We are seeking a standout Business Development Executive to join our small team and work alongside additional Grand Welcome locations to close deals in Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in driving our combined growth and success. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with property owners, and working closely with internal teams to ensure the smooth onboarding of new properties. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and business development with a deep understanding of the vacation rental industry and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the hospitality or vacation rental industry. You should be a skilled communicator and negotiator, with the ability to build rapport and trust with property owners quickly. A deep understanding of the local real estate market and a network of industry contacts will also be highly advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with leadership to shape our sales strategy, create and refine sales processes, and share insights from lead conversations to shape service offerings and fill gaps.
  • Take ownership of your role and actively contribute to the company's success.
  • Engage with prospects, qualify leads, uncover needs, gauge intent, and identify decision-makers while cultivating relationships with property owners, real estate professionals, and industry contacts to generate referrals and leads.
  • Conduct sales outreach through outbound calls, emails, in-person meetings (if local to the area), phone calls, and virtual meetings to pitch our property management services and secure new contracts.
  • Handle a large volume of networking and lead generation while following through on established leads.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to leadership by maintaining records in our CRM tool.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure seamless handoff from deal closing to property onboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Alabama real estate license or commitment to obtain one within 30 days of hire (education, testing, and licensing costs will be reimbursed).
  • Proven success in sales/business development in the short-term vacation rental industry.
  • Ability to generate leads, build trust over the phone, and close sales.
  • Thrive with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Solid computer skills, including cloud-based platforms.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Compensation: 100% Commission pay structure with on-target earnings (OTE) of $110-140K annually. No commission caps.

Full-time, Contract to Hire – an opportunity to move from contractor to employee status with additional benefits after an initial evaluation period of approximately 6 months.
