POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Assistant Property Manager at Oak Island Accommodations, you’ll play an important part in making sure we provide the best experiences for both our guests and property owners.

Working closely with a Property Manager, you will interact with property owners, ensure flawless operations of rental properties, and offer excellent customer service. Alongside our supportive team, you'll take on various daily tasks, allowing you to grow and learn with us.

As a part of this role, you will explain our rental management program to homeowners, maintain homeowner relationships, and respond quickly to any issues. The key to success here is organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and maintaining a professional demeanor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verbally convey a detailed explanation of Oak Island Accommodations' short-term rental management program.
  • Demonstrate your knowledge of our Vacation Rental Property Management Agreement, the Terms & Conditions of the Rental Agreement and relative familiarity with our Long Term Management Agreement and Long Term Lease Agreement.
  • Provide unscheduled potential clients with prompt entry to a property if they arrive without a reservation.
  • Maintenance of homeowner relationships through frequent contact, primarily by phone call as well as email.
  • Return calls promptly on the same day and, worst case scenarios, no later than the following business.
  • Improve services to homeowners and tenants in addition to internal policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school degree.
  • A valid North Carolina license.
  • Experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to handle owners and tenants alike, even in times of heightened emotions, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  •  Negotiation skills paired with empathetic observation skills.

Hourly Rate: $18 per hour

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays with non-consecutive days off. Also required to participate in Manager on Call Rotation which includes late evening/night work responsibilities.
