POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at The Waves will play a crucial role in our management team, reporting directly to our dedicated owners (a husband and wife team). This position offers variety and engagement across multiple operational areas, from overseeing guest services and managing front desk operations to coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams. The AGM will also handle essential administrative tasks such as payroll, purchasing, and online travel agency (OTA) management. While no two days are the same, every day provides an opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a meaningful impact on both our team and guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Guest Services and Front Desk Staff: Ensure exceptional service by supervising and training team members to uphold company standards. Drive team development and engagement, creating a motivating and positive environment.
- Oversee Housekeeping and Laundry Operations: Manage housekeeping scheduling and resource allocation, focusing on efficiency and quality assurance—Foster high standards in cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Operational Management: Take charge of payroll, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations. Oversee OTA (Online Travel Agency) scheduling and optimizing booking performance.
- Serve as On-Duty Leader: Confidently run daily operations when the owners are off-property, adapting to challenges and making decisions to meet business needs. Proactively address guest requests, staff coordination, and unexpected issues with a solutions-oriented mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management
- 1-2 years management experience, demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop staff
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
- Professional demeanor and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Adaptable under pressure and adept at managing an extensive to-do list
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $60,000 - $95,000 based on experience and achievement.
Bonus: Performance-based earnings, as well as summer and Christmas holiday bonuses, are awarded.

Schedule: The schedule typically consists of 5 days a week, from 8 AM to 4 PM, although this can vary significantly depending on the season and staff availability. Additionally, when the owners are not on the property, the Assistant General Manager may need to be on-call or provide coverage according to staffing needs.
