POSITION SUMMARY:

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing accounting operations across multiple vacation rental brands, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financials, owner payouts, and maintaining high standards of compliance and internal control. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and operational teams to support financial planning and strategic growth, all while managing day-to-day accounting functions with confidence and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and revenue recognition with an additional focus on both operational and trust accounting practices relative to industry requirements.
- Manage the accounting team with a focus on timely owner payouts, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Analyze financial activity across booking platforms, property management software, and bank accounts to ensure proper allocation of revenue, commissions, and fees.
- Review and approve journal entries, oversee account ledgers, and maintain reconciliations for all client funds to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with auditors and tax professionals to support audits, regulatory reviews, and tax filings related to operations and accounting activity.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures that strengthen internal controls, promote transparency, and improve efficiency in managing owner and guest funds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience with a property management company specializing in short-term vacation rental programs.
- 2 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more direct reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and tools
- Confident that you can excel in a remote working environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $85,000 or commensurate based on experience and achievement
