POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for an experienced, full-time accounting clerk/bookkeeper with at least 2 years of property management accounting experience to join our fast-growing team. Working under our Senior Staff Accountant, you'll be responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining accounting records in the Streamline property management system (PMS) in the daily, weekly and monthly accounting workflows for trust/escrow accounting on behalf of our property owners and guests.

The position requires meticulous attention to detail, superior organization skills, ability to learn and adapt to software platforms, and impeccable trust and integrity. This is a full time role. Work hours for this position are flexible but we will request some availability during PST (Los Angeles) hours and some availability on U.S. weekends during accounting cycles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily processing of vendor accounts payable through Streamline and generation of owner charges
  • Daily/Weekly posting of reimbursable operating expenses in Streamline
  • Daily/Weekly guest folio audits, review of undeposited funds, guest advanced deposits and draft bank reconciliations
  • Weekly reporting of property costs/burn rates
  • Monthly owner statement processing
  • Monthly vendor reconciliations
  • Annual finance & accounting audits and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have a relevant degree in finance or accounting.
  • Must have at least 3 (preferably 5+ years) of overall experience in accounting/bookkeeping/finance with a US, Canadian, Australian or UK-based employer with at least 2 of those years specifically in the property management or vacation rental management industries.
  • Must have accounting experience with Streamline vacation rental property management system or an equivalent platform such as Appfolio, Guesty, Hostaway, OwnerRez, WebRezPro, LiveRez or other property management accounting software not listed.
  • Must have experience with Excel and Google Sheets including pivot tables, data grooming for import/export, and basic data analysis.
  • Experience with Quickbooks online strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Monday.com, and Slack is highly preferred.
  • Availability and willingness to work during some PST (Los Angeles) hours and on some weekends
  • Position will be full-time (40-45 hours/week)

Monthly Salary: $800 - $1000

Bonus Details: 13th month bonus
