POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for an experienced, full-time Staff Accountant to join our team. As our Accountant Manager, you will be in a leadership role to guide the company and accounting personnel in daily tasks, reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions, and communicating with company executive about all financial matters within the company. You will be the expert in our accounting processes ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks and will coordinate and manage across all departments regarding finance and accounting matters. We want the person filling this role to grow into our accounting manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quickbooks - review and processing of business transactions, credit card categorization and reconciliations
- Streamline PMS - review and disbursements of reservation folios, owner statement preparation, end-of-month financial exports, and reconciliations
- Development of various financial reports and KPI dashboards
- Preparation of various error-free financial reports and analyses for internal and external audiences
- Recommendations for ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
- Development of KPI dashboards and other managerial accounting tools and work with the executive team to make informed financial decisions
- A/P, A/R, bill pay and vendor invoice management and review for approval
- Preparation and tracking of local tax filings
- Creation and upkeep of company-wide accounting procedures and instructions
- Manage month and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Leadership, management and accountability for finance and accounting responsibilities delegated to the accounting team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Career-oriented, dedicated and hard working individual looking for career growth and an opportunity for advancement.
- Exceptional English (both written and verbal), responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Certified Public Accountant or relevant degree in finance or accounting.
- Currently employed.
- 3+ years of experience with U.S. GAAP and work with a US-based employer.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks.
- Proficiency in Excel: pivot tables, data analysis, creation of charts and graphs.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and managerial accounting.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Availability and willingness to work during PST (Los Angeles) hours.
- Experience in the short-term rental (Airbnb) or property management industry a plus but not required.
- Experience with Streamline, Appfolio or other property management accounting systems a plus but not required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Monthly Salary: $1,400 - $1,700
