POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Vacation Rental Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in keeping our properties spotless, comfortable, and welcoming for arriving guests. You’ll handle a variety of cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, changing linens, and restocking essential supplies. Attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency are key, as you’ll often work within tight turnaround times between guest stays in our properties that are throughout Alachua County.
This role offers a flexible schedule, making it a great fit for someone who values both steady work and personal time. A strong work ethic, the ability to follow checklists, and pride in creating a fresh, inviting environment are essential for success. This role offers a Full Time schedule with plenty of hours available, making it a great fit for someone who wants steady, reliable work and the opportunity to earn solid income.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare properties for guest arrivals: Clean and organize all rooms, including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas to meet guest expectations.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards: Ensure properties are consistently spotless and guest-ready after every stay.
- Laundry & linens: Wash, fold, and restock linens, towels, and other essentials for guest use.
- Use tech tools for task management: Track cleaning schedules and updates through software (e.g., Guesty, SuiteOp, Breezeway, Google Calendar, etc.).
- Coordinate with property management: Communicate regularly to ensure cleaning schedules align with check-in/check-out times and guest feedback.
- Participate in regular cleaning inspections: Conduct periodic cleaning inspection walkthroughs with UPKEY team members
- Report maintenance issues: Flag and document any damages, broken items, or repair needs during cleaning.
- Inventory management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and amenities as needed.
- Provide feedback: Suggest improvements based on cleaning experience or guest reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–2+ years of Airbnb or short-term rental cleaning experience
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, spoken and written
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Tech-savvy — comfortable using mobile apps or scheduling tools (e.g., Guesty, SuiteOp, Breezeway, Google Calendar, etc.)
- Reliable and self-motivated — able to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong communication skills — able to follow instructions and provide updates clearly
- Team-oriented — works well in collaboration with property managers and other team members
- Physically capable — able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to and between properties

Performance based bonus potential
Hourly: $20
Schedule
Full Time, Flexible schedule. Minimum weekly guarantee is 32 hours, with more hours available based on seasonality and occupancy.
