POSITION SUMMARY:
The Line Cook at Helena Modern Riviera plays a key role in delivering a high-quality dining experience by preparing and executing dishes with consistency, precision, and efficiency. Working under the guidance of the Chef and Kitchen Manager, the Line Cook is responsible for following recipes, maintaining proper food safety standards, and ensuring that all plates meet the restaurant’s standards for presentation and taste.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and effective teamwork with fellow kitchen staff. Line Cooks are expected to uphold Helena Modern Riviera’s commitment to culinary excellence and contribute to a clean, organized, and collaborative kitchen environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Assist with prep work, stock rotation, and inventory as needed
- Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and fellow cooks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred (but not always required)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic kitchen environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Pay Range: $14 - $17 based on previous experience
