POSITION SUMMARY:

We're searching for a visionary General Manager to lead our dynamic team. This is not your typical operations role. We want someone who thrives on change, leads with confidence, and inspires through action.

Reporting directly to the ownership team, the GM will be the engine that drives our day-to-day execution and long-term growth. You’ll oversee key operational functions, mentor team members and interface with property owners while helping to scale a growing short-term rental business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and Oversee Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations across all departments (guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, vendor relations, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.  Forecast departmental personnel needs.  Personnel responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, training, auditing, corrective action, and offboarding for all departmental personnel, contractors and vendors.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Drive revenue growth and operational efficiency through strategic planning and performance monitoring.  Track KPIs and make data-driven decisions that drive results.  Develop strategies to expand the property portfolio, increase profitability, and elevate brand presence.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Inspire and manage a team, providing continuous training and development opportunities. Conduct regular team meetings and calibrations.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, guests, vendors,  and community partners.
  • Financial Analysis and Optimization: Analyze financial data to optimize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring compliance with laws and policies. Own the P&L performance for the location, including revenue, labor, and expense management. Review the budget to ensure adequate funds are planned for operations.
  • Customer Satisfaction:  Ensure exceptional guest and owner experiences, from pre-arrival to post-departure. Resolve guest complaints promptly and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Innovative Marketing Strategies: Partner with Marketing to enhance brand awareness and increase bookings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or vacation rental industry.
  • Independent Leader: Results-oriented with a proven track record to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
  • Excellent Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
  • Organized Multitasker: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Mind: Analytical and data-driven, making sound decisions based on financial and performance metrics - focused on driving revenue growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Customer-Focused: Deep commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experienced with property management software and other relevant tools.
