POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Maintenance Technician at StayCVP, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our vacation rental properties in beautiful Charleston, SC remain safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times. You’ll handle a wide range of tasks—from responding quickly to maintenance requests and troubleshooting basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues, to performing property resets and scheduled preventative maintenance like filter changes and smoke detector checks.

You’ll work closely with housekeeping and operations teams to prioritize repairs, minimize guest disruptions, and ensure everything runs smoothly. If you're a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in delivering timely, professional service, we’d love to have you on our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by guests, housekeeping, or property management.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
  • Conduct turnover checks and property resets between guest stays as needed.
  • Execute regularly scheduled preventative maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, smoke detector tests, and equipment servicing.
  • Identify and report recurring issues or capital improvements needed to extend asset life.
  • Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, CO detectors) is up to date and functioning.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, operations, and guest services teams to prioritize repairs and minimize guest disruptions.
  • Document all maintenance work and communicate updates via our property management and maintenance systems (e.g., Breezeway, Guesty, or equivalent).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in residential or hospitality maintenance or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for transportation between properties.
  • A working smartphone capable of downloading and using work-related apps.
  • Bonus if proficient in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or appliance repair.
  • Familiarity with smart home devices, keyless locks, and internet troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards without constant supervision.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods, walking through properties, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $28.00
