POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Community Association Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and overall success of the community. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with board members, homeowners, and vendors will be key to maintaining a thriving and harmonious living environment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships, and proactively addressing concerns and conflicts that may arise. With your problem-solving mindset and commitment to professionalism, you will be a valuable asset in supporting the board of directors, managing financial matters, and overseeing vendor performance to maintain and enhance the community's value and quality of life.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Board Support: Assist the board of directors in carrying out their duties by preparing for and attending board meetings, providing guidance on governing documents, and implementing board decisions.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, review financial reports, track expenses, and assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise vendors for maintenance, landscaping, repairs, and other services to ensure timely, quality performance.
- Owner Relations: Respond to homeowner inquiries, resolve issues, and enforce community rules and covenants in a fair and consistent manner.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the community complies with applicable laws, governing documents, and insurance requirements; prepare and maintain necessary records and reports.
- Project Management: Oversee capital improvement projects, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.
- CAI M100 certificate
- Industry certifications such as CMCA®, AMS®, or PCAM® are a plus.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in property management, HOA/COA management, or related fields preferred.
- Experience working with boards of directors and vendor management is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with board members, homeowners, vendors, and staff.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on proactive solutions and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with financial statements, budgeting, and basic accounting principles.
- Technologically proficient—comfortable using property management software, email, and standard office applications.
