POSITION SUMMARY:
Fortuna Bakery is seeking a reliable and efficient Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team in Davenport, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing breakfast items according to recipes and portion control standards, as well as preparing baked goods and fried foods to ensure availability in the serving area. The Cook will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen area clean and organized, ensuring all pots, pans, and cooking utensils are properly washed and sanitized. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare breakfast according to the available menu
- Prepare baked goods and fried foods
- Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and cooking utensils
- Assist in maintaining a clean kitchen environment by performing regular cleaning tasks as assigned
- Assist the kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, cutting, mixing.
- Adhere to recipes and portion control standards
- Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new cooking techniques and recipes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment and appliances safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
- Good time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
- Spanish language
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Salary Range: $14 - $15
