POSITION SUMMARY:

Start your journey toward a rewarding career alongside our fantastic team as our Front Desk Specialist in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

As the welcoming voice and friendly face of Deer Ridge Mountain Resort, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our guests' first impressions. You'll offer excellent service and support, thoughtful answers, and genuine concern for each guest’s needs.

What will a day be like?

As a Front Desk Specialist, your eye for detail and commitment to 5-star service will help you manage reservations and communications thoughtfully. Our team will rely on you to engage guests with your warm welcome and provide personalized assistance throughout their stay.

Your ability to handle multiple responsibilities, from check-ins to coordinating with housekeeping, demonstrates your organizational skills and dedication to excellence. Your day will involve engaging online to enhance guest interactions using digital platforms, with minimal onsite customer presence.

As you wrap up each day, you’ll head home knowing your meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful customer engagement directly contributed to increasing bookings and memorable guest experiences, resulting in our continued success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage guest communications through live chat, phone, and text; promptly address inquiries and respond professionally to reviews.
  • Assist in all phases of guest engagement, from welcoming guests at check-in to supporting them during their stay and coordinating check-outs, including handling special requests like early check-ins or late check-outs.
  • Oversee reservation logistics, including maintaining updated details, processing all payments, and managing group booking quotes and confirmations.
  • Maintain high standards of resort presentation and guest amenities, ensuring areas such as the lounge, pool, and office are well-organized and stocked.
  • Conduct property tours for potential event bookings, sell merchandise, and facilitate add-on services to enhance guest stays.
  • Collaborate effectively with the housekeeping, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and any issues are resolved swiftly.
  • Proactively engage with previous guests about current promotions and assist with bookings for local attractions, enhancing guest experience and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Empathy and sincerity in addressing guest needs
  • Able to remain calm and professional under pressure and anticipate the needs of our guests.
  • Able to multitask and organize information and items.
  • Comfortable learning new software and computer skills
  • Basic money handling and math skills.
  • Flexibility regarding work tasks
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 based on experience and achievement
