POSITION SUMMARY:

Opportunities don’t come along like this every day. Our innovative and progressive leadership team is looking for a problem solver with the relevant experience to take on our current opening as Director Of Engineering in the hospitality sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects, establishing KPIs, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of partners, owners, and the success of your team members.

Experience in the following areas could give you an edge in this role:

  • VP or Director of Engineering with experience in hospitality
  • HOA manager, responsible for maintaining large properties' buildings and grounds
  • General contractor with residential remodeling experience
  • Leader of a home repair or maintenance business, including direct supervision of teams
  • High-volume preventative maintenance and ongoing repairs and maintenance experience.

As a whole, we are looking for a person who identifies problems, provides solutions, and coaches their team on how to achieve those solutions effectively. To be a successful candidate for this role, you must be knowledgeable in maintenance as well as a confident leader with excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will plan labor & materials, communicate with owners & receive approval for a high volume of quality repairs & maintenance and preventative maintenance.
  • You will be responsible for defining processes, ways of using our systems, and how we can track overall productivity for the Engineering team.
  • Identify, manage, and advise our trusted vendors, establishing guidelines, policies, and procedures along with our staff.
  • Manage contractors and recruit new employees.
  • Ensure that our internal team or external contractors execute repairs and maintenance with high-quality systems and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain the maintenance and repair budget
  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of dispatch systems, work order management systems, and scheduling tools to ensure that we have coverage 24/7 for any/all emergencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years experience in luxury property/hotel management in the role of recruiting, training & managing a team of 10 or more employees as well as numerous contractors/vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of home systems, appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool equipment, and technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in the use of smartphone apps for tasks like tracking receipts and placing work orders
  • Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Able to pass an upon-hiring drug screening with an ongoing ability to maintain our drug-free workplace standards

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 based upon achievement and experience

Bonus: Awarded annually for achieving quarterly performance and team goals, as well as overall business goals reached by the leadership team
