Schedule: Monday to Friday

Company Overview
HyOx Medical Treatment Center, part of UrgentFlex, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support patients receiving wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
We are looking for someone with strong hands-on clinical skills, careful documentation habits, and the confidence to take ownership of their assigned responsibilities. Experience supporting patients with chronic wounds or complex medical needs is especially valuable.
What you’ll do
Prepare patients for visits, obtain vital signs, and accurately document histories, medications, and other relevant information.
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and wound-care activities within your training and authorized scope.
Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinician.
Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records.
Prepare treatment areas, maintain supplies, and follow infection-control procedures.
Support patient preparation and hyperbaric treatment workflows after completing required training and competency validation.
Reinforce provider-directed patient instructions.
Contribute to consistent clinical workflows and help orient team members as assigned.
Required qualifications
Five or more years of hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience.
Current Medical Assistant certification.
Current BLS certification.
Strong skills in patient intake, vital signs, clinical documentation, and provider support.
Sound judgment about when to escalate concerns and ask for clinical direction.
Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and professional communication.
Ability to work effectively with patients who require ongoing treatment and additional assistance.
Preferred experience
Wound care, hyperbaric medicine, podiatry, vascular care, or surgical practice experience.
Supporting patients with diabetes, chronic wounds, or other complex conditions.
Training or mentoring other Medical Assistants.
Relevant hyperbaric or wound-care credentials.
Prior hyperbaric experience is preferred but is not required for an otherwise strong candidate. Hyperbaric duties require role-specific training, applicable credentials, supervision, and demonstrated competency before assignment.
The opportunity
Bring your clinical experience to a specialty setting focused on wound healing and hyperbaric medicine. Candidates interested in developing toward a Hyperbaric Medical Assistant or future lead role are encouraged to apply. Advancement depends on qualifications, demonstrated performance, and organizational needs.
HyOx Medical Treatment Center is an equal opportunity employer.
