Chief Financial Officer

ShotVet is looking for an experienced, hands-on CFO to help lead our next stage of growth.

We need more than a traditional finance leader. We are looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with data analytics, operational experience and leadership.

The right person will help us build the financial discipline, processes, systems and management structure needed to scale—without losing the entrepreneurial spirit and speed that got us here.

What You'll Own

• Develop meaningful KPIs and management reporting

• Partner directly with the CEO on strategy, growth and major business decisions

• Help develop greater accountability and financial discipline throughout the management team

• Evaluate and improve the systems and processes needed to support significant growth

• Lead Finance, Strategy, Accounting, Tax, HR, IT, Fleet and Regulatory teams

• Build and own the company's budgeting and forecasting process

• Establish stronger financial controls and spending accountability

This Is an Operational CFO Role

We want someone who uses numbers to change the business, not just report on it.

You will dig into areas such as:

• Labor productivity and staffing

• Market and route performance

• Pricing and profitability

• Inventory and shrink

• Fleet utilization and costs

• Marketing ROI

• Unit-level economics

• Capital allocation and major spending decisions

You should be comfortable getting into the data yourself, building and challenging models, identifying trends and understanding where the numbers come from.

What We're Looking For

• Significant CFO or senior financial leadership experience

• Experience scaling a fast-growing, multi-unit business

• Strong financial modeling and data-analysis skills

• A track record of turning analysis into operational improvements

• Experience building budgets, forecasts, KPIs and management accountability

• Hands-on experience preparing a company for sophisticated financial diligence

• Experience with Quality of Earnings, data rooms and investor-level financial presentations

• Strong understanding of financial controls and risk management

• Experience building and developing high-performing teams

• Excellent executive presence and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively with both senior executives and field operators

• Comfortable challenging assumptions and making difficult decisions

• Highly capable with modern technology, analytics, automation and AI

Veterinary experience is not required. Experience in multi-unit consumer services, healthcare services, retail, restaurants, home services or another distributed operating business may be particularly relevant.
