We seek a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure our glamping sites and cabins maintain impeccable condition. As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, general maintenance tasks, and implementing preventative maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Your role will involve traveling between our eight unique domes in the Great Smoky Mountains and our cabins, conducting inspections, addressing any equipment or structural issues, and maintaining pools, spas, and surrounding grounds. Additionally, you may need to provide on-site assistance for maintenance issues that arise during our guests' stay, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and efficient repair capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repairs & General Maintenance:
- Inspect cabins, equipment, furniture, and systems to identify and repair faulty equipment, furniture, and damaged structures.
- Plan and schedule repairs and service tasks for the week.
- Inspect, clean, treat, and manage indoor pool/spa chemicals and equipment.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Ensure all work is completed before guest arrival.
- Perform routine maintenance activities.
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing.
- Maintain HVAC equipment.
- Maintain decks and perform necessary painting when paint has faded or chipped.
Preventative Maintenance and Safety:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
- Manage heating and plumbing systems.
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain equipment inventory records.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure pools, spas, and homes meet safety standards.
- Address potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician.
- HVAC and/or Pool Certification highly desired
- Handyman skills and general knowledge of home maintenance are advantageous.
- Preferred certification in building maintenance technology or related fields.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Reliable, consistent, and hard-working.
- Proficient in using phone apps and computers.
- Willingness to work on-call, after hours, and on holidays as needed.
The Maintenance Technician position requires availability during Monday through Friday business hours. Additionally, you must be accessible after hours for maintenance or repair issues as needed. As part of your responsibilities, you will also be expected to be available on holidays to handle any urgent issues that may arise, including house calls.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: Up to $40,500 based on experience and achievements.
