Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and assist with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of our maintenance department staff. This position is responsible for evaluating and troubleshooting maintenance issues in managed properties, following up on repair work completed by other staff and vendors, and utilizing our work order system to confirm that tasks are being completed properly and timely.

Responsibilities

All duties and responsibilities are always to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service, upholding Tybee Vacation Rentals' standards and culture.

  • Schedule maintenance staff, assign duties, and follow-up on completed tasks
  • Understand and utilize all relevant company technologies and systems
  • Manage the work order system and invoicing
  • Respond to guest-in-house issues and complaints; follow-up to ensure resolution
  • Communicate effectively with clients on significant and/or expensive maintenance issues
  • Oversee, maintain inventory, and order maintenance supplies while minimizing waste
  • Identify and recommend new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings
  • Maintain open communication across Operations departments to ensure responsibilities are coordinated appropriately
  • Have knowledge of and assist with emergency procedures as required
  • Receive quotes and bids from vendors
  • Audit the work of other maintenance staff to verify their work meets or exceeds company standards
  • Oversee maintenance of company buildings and vehicles
  • Participate in after hours on-call rotation and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) in absence of Maintenance Manager
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year's experience in maintenance, preferably in the hospitality or property management industries, or relatable service environment
  • Able to handle the stress of a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to learn company software programs
  • Strong detail orientation, time management, and analytical skills
  • Passion for customer service and desire to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Able to work independently, often with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Must have reliable transportation and a working smartphone
  • Must authorize and pass a background check and motor vehicle review (MVR)

Compensation

  • $21.00/hour to $25.00/hour, based on experience
