The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing all Housekeeping Department operations to ensure the overall cleanliness and product quality of rental homes in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position will recruit, hire, manage and develop employees to oversee quality control and inventory within the housekeeping, laundry, and inspection functions in accordance with FLPP’s, cleaning and safety standards. They will build and maintain high-performance teams to meet and exceed the service expectations of FLPP’s homeowners, guests, clients, and vendors. 

All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and excellent guest service while upholding FLPP’s standards and culture at all times.


  • Lead by Example through Company Values and Standards; building a high-energy team atmosphere in the Housekeeping Department.
  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop and retain the Housekeeping Department employees providing coaching and counseling as appropriate.
  • Responsible for Budgeting and Forecasting seasonal and year-round staff.
  • Reviews housekeeping/inspector assignments schedules, office staff and coordinators, and linen drivers ensuring work activities meet required efficiencies.
  • Implements improvement and follow through on the training and retraining program within the department; holding employees accountable for work quality and standards.
  • Establish, improve and implement effective communications, metrics/reports, processes, and policies to drive service standards and efficiencies and measure the department's successes and opportunities.
  • Inspect work to ensure quality control and evaluate employees for compliance with the FLPP’s cleaning and safety standards. Follow up on any issues or complaints.
  • Oversee regular inventories of supplies, linens, and cleaning materials; account for inventory, formulate orders and ensure all inventory levels are maintained on a regular basis. Research and provide recommendations for cleaning products, processes, and tools.  Control department supplies and inventory and minimizes waste or loss.
  • Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings
  • Interact and maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner


  • A minimum of 3 years managing and leading housekeeping operations, including a track record of successful communication and training skills.
  • Deep knowledge, skills, and abilities in housekeeping systems, techniques, and products. 
  • Proven history of managing teams successfully through coaching, mentoring, communicating, and educating new and existing employees.
  • Must be willing to do all cleaning tasks being assigned to others.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within a Housekeeping Department.
  • Proficient with standard office software applications and ability to learn software programs.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word and industry software.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and required weekend work


Annual Salary: $62,000 - $65,000
