We are a fully remote team and are hiring for a U.S.-based remote (work-from-home) position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Partner Development Manager to join our innovative team at HostGPO. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with existing vendor partners, identifying new vendor partners and product and service categories, conducting outreach, assisting with complex forecasts, discount structures, and pricing analysis, and conducting relevant market research to inform our strategies and managing new vendor partner rollouts for our members. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Director of Growth and Partnerships and play a crucial role in the decision-making process for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner Development and Management
    • Manage a portfolio of vendor partner contracts for the GPO
    • Assist in the development of partnership strategies that deliver unique value to support members in the furnished rental and vacation management industries.
    • Identify new categories and potential vendor partners that align with HostGPO needs.
    • Conduct both proactive (cold) and reactive (warm) outreach to potential vendor partners.
    • Build collaborative working relationships with vendor partners and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Portfolio / Product Management
    • Create and compile a comprehensive set of resources and materials to effectively introduce and promote new partnerships.
    • Oversee the launch and implementation of new vendor partners, working in close collaboration with various teams, including marketing, finance, and data, to ensure successful and coordinated rollout.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for each category and vendor partner, providing comprehensive knowledge and expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide an in-depth understanding of the products and services offered by each vendor partner and effectively communicate this expertise to all relevant parties, providing guidance and advice as needed.
  • Contract Negotiation and Administration
    • Assist in the negotiation of new and existing partner agreements, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the terms and adept at identifying potential areas of conflict or disagreement and working towards their resolution.
    • Analyze and articulate proposals effectively, and synthesize this information to drive successful contract negotiations, ensuring beneficial terms for our members.
    • Manage price files and other contract documents, ensuring their accuracy and organization.
  • Community and Education
    • Collaborate with the advisory board, providing necessary support and input to assist in decision-making and strategic planning
    • Develop and manage a community forum and education component for the GPO, fostering a sense of community among partners and facilitating knowledge sharing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business relations, strategic sourcing, procurement, or partnerships.
  • Experience with contracts and negotiations.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Excel and/or Tableau, with the ability to proficiently run queries, create and manage pivot tables, and competently manipulate data to derive meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven, excels at multitasking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • A desire to win and be part of a dynamic team that’s making a big impact in a quickly growing industry.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Bonus points: 

  • Prior experience either working for a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) or selling products/services into a GPO.
  • E-commerce or vacation rental industry experience (or real estate / interior design experience).
  • Familiarity with using various software stacks, including Slack, Notion, Zapier, etc.
